Description: |
American Heroes Return - Camp Hero is a 250 acre recreation retreat and 3-12 month transitional assistance housing farm 30 miles from Ft. Bragg, Pope AFB, and the VA Medical Center. Day recreation programs begin June 15, 2008 and residency program August 1, 2008. Selection for residency will be greatest need first with special attention to PTSD and TBI referrals. The campus will include weeklong opportunities for fishing, hiking, trail riding and camping. Beginning in late Summer 2008, Rodeos will be held on alternating weekends. Vans will be making daily runs from the farm to Ft. Bragg, Pope AFB, and the VA Medical facility. |
